1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how TopServicesPH ("we", "us") collects, uses and protects personal data when you use topservicesph.com. By creating an account or using the Platform, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

2. Information We Collect

• Account information: your name, email address, a securely hashed password, account type (freelancer or client) and verification status.
• Professional profile: for freelancers, your headline, bio, skills, city, years of experience, rates and service listings.
• Content you create: service listings, job postings, job applications, inquiries and direct messages.
• Technical data: IP address, browser type and pages visited, used to keep the Platform secure and functional.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To create and manage your account.
• To publish your profile, services and job listings.
• To route inquiries and messages between clients and freelancers.
• To moderate content and enforce our Terms and Conditions.
• To secure the Platform and prevent fraud or abuse.
• To comply with legal obligations.

4. Public Profile Visibility

Freelancer profiles, service listings and job postings are public by design, so that clients and freelancers can find each other. To protect freelancers, sensitive details such as hourly rates, exact city and contact options are only shown to signed-in users with a verified email address. Direct messages and inquiries are visible only to the participants in the conversation. Please think carefully before posting personal information in public fields.

5. Identity Verification (photo with national ID)

Freelancers can earn the "Verified with ID" badge by uploading a photo of themselves holding their national ID. This voluntary verification helps employers confirm that a freelancer is a real person based in the Philippines.

• Direct, private storage: the photo is uploaded directly to a private, access-controlled storage bucket that is separate from the rest of the Platform and uses its own credentials. Only authorized review staff can view it.
• Automatic deletion: the photo is permanently deleted from the bucket as soon as the review is completed, whether the request is approved or rejected. We do not keep a copy of the document; we only keep the outcome of the review (and, if rejected, the reason you were given).
• Purpose limitation: the photo is used exclusively for identity verification and is never published, shared with third parties, or used for any other purpose.
• Lawful basis: this processing is based on your consent, given when you submit the photo, and is carried out in line with the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 (RA 10173) and its implementing rules and regulations.

6. Payments

TopServicesPH does not process payments between users and therefore never collects credit card or bank account details. Payment arrangements are made directly between clients and freelancers using their own chosen methods.

7. No Sale of Personal Data

We never sell, rent or trade your personal data to third parties. We only share data with service providers that help us operate the Platform — such as hosting and email providers — under appropriate confidentiality and security safeguards.

8. Cookies and Local Storage

We use a session cookie to keep you signed in, a CSRF token to protect forms and, if you choose the "remember me" option, a persistent cookie. We also use local storage to remember your accessibility font-size preference. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking scripts.

9. Data Retention

We keep your account data while your account exists. Messages and listings are retained to keep conversations and history available to the participants. Identity verification photos are deleted immediately after review (see section 5) and are never retained. When you close your account, your personal data is anonymized as described in section 10 below.

10. Your Rights (Data Privacy Act — RA 10173)

Under the Philippine Data Privacy Act (RA 10173) and applicable law, you have the right to access, correct, object to, or delete your personal data. We make two of these rights available directly in your account under Dashboard → Privacy & Data:

• Download my data: you can export your personal data at any time. The export is delivered as a ZIP file containing a manifest and your data in numbered parts (each part at most ~10 MB), including your conversations. The download link is single-use and the files are automatically deleted from our servers after download.
• Close my account: you can request permanent account closure. After a 7-day grace period (during which you can cancel the request), your account is automatically anonymized: your name, email and profile are removed, your conversations, messages and uploaded media are deleted, and the remaining record is kept only as "Deleted User" with an invalid email so that your financial history (subscriptions and payments) and support tickets remain accurate. You can also ask us for help at any time by emailing admin@topservicesph.com — we respond within 30 days.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
